Shark Tank: A PBL experience based on the hit TV show |
The idea for this project was inspired by the TV show Shark Tank in which hopeful entrepreneurs try to sell or “pitch” inventions to a panel of 5 millionaire and billionaire sharks.
7th grade students emulated the show by pitching a medical invention to a panel of sharks from around our community. Prior to inventing their products, students spent two months learning about the organ systems of the human body. They then chose a disease or condition to focus their invention on. Students researched the disease online, brainstormed ideas, sketched their ideas, and finally created the pitches you will see here. Enjoy! |

- Created a visual presentation for the pitch (Prezi, Google Presentation, Powtoon)
- Practiced and received feedback based on this rubric
